Scheduled maintenance for NJOGIS map and geocoding services on May 12th. Due to scheduled maintenance, NJOGIS map and geocoding services at geo.nj.gov will be unavailable on Tue 5/12 at 8am for about ten minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Soils Data Questionnaire
The NJ Office of GIS (NJOGIS) and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS, formerly the Soil Conservation Service) plan to update the 2016 publication of the Soil Survey Geographic (SSURGO) database for NJ available on the NJ Geographic Information Network (NJGIN) Open Data site. This questionnaire was designed to solicit feedback from NJ Geospatial Forum members to assist with the selection of database tables to include in the update. NJOGIS and NRCS will determine which tables to include based on the results.

New Statewide NJ Address Points:
The new Statewide NJ Address Points database is now available for download from NJGIN Open Data.

The points and associated data are now formatted to meet the National Emergency Number Association’s Next Generation 9-1-1 GIS Data Standard.

Story Map for Black History Month

NJ Office of Geographic Information Systems has created a story map of underground railroad locations across New Jersey.

The Esri GIS Software and Services Contract has been extended to October 13, 2021. This contract is available to state agencies and cooperative purchasing participants through the 17-COMP-00098 contract on the NJSTART procurement website.

Northwest NJ 2018 Elevation Data Now Available:
Quality level 2 (QL2) elevation data and derivative products for Northwest NJ are now available. This collection covers Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, Somerset, Morris, and Passaic Counties. A small area in Bergen County and Rockland County, NY that is contiguous to the NJ Highlands is also included.
