NJ State Museum
Explore our world-class collections in science, history and art and discover New Jersey within a global perspective. With holdings of more than two million objects, artifacts and specimens, the Museum broadly covers the fields of natural history, archaeology, ethnography, cultural history and fine art, and provides a variety of options for lifelong learning. Programs such as docent-led tours, live performances and lectures are offered to augment Museum exhibitions. Our Paleo Lab lets visitors interact with scientists working on real fossils. and hands-on, interactive activities inspire learning through play for young museum-goers. Visitors can also soar through the skies in our Planetarium, featuring sky programs and laser shows for adults and children.
